Normally an XL swims on me but with this jacket it's a perfect fit for my 6'2" 180# frame. Jacket is minimalist but performs very well. After getting caught in a heavy rain, the jacket dripped dry in short order, something down could never do and better than any other synthetic jackets I've owned. Runs small so consider ordering a size up.I ordered this jacket and its a nice jacket but its just a little small.I wear a 2x and it usually fits loose in other jackets but the grasshopper fits very tight. I couldn't wear anything but a tshirt ? under it. I was very disappointed and wasted $30 bucks for next day delivery ?.I wish they made a 3x so I could just exchange it.Used this jacket as my main piece of insulation on a 90 day NOLS semester in the rocky mountains. Kept me warm and proved to be very durable as it is completely intact and looks practically new. During that semester I wore this jacket very often as a layering piece and it proved to be warm in late fall weather in Idaho, utah, and Wyoming. This coat is a nice lightweight coat. Definitely fitted, can't really layer under it unless you buy a bigger size. Best for Fall/Spring cool weather. I bought the blue and it is definitely much darker than in the picture shown.I bought a XL I'm this jacket but it was to small and I had to send it back, but I got the XXL and it fits like a charm. I love this coat I live in Maryland and it's the only coat I need. I use it too and from work and outside activities. It keeps you warm but not over warm. Would recommend this to people.Amazing jacket, high quality material, packs away well, great jacket for traveling. I typically wear a M or L depending on brand, I had read they run small so I ordered an XL... It fit just right, order larger at least 1 size or you will be disappointedNice jacket. Just as described. Just runs a little small. I'd recommend getting a size bigger.I like the coat. It is very light and warm. Great to travel with.I bought one of these before in my normal size (large). After wearing it at home, i noticed that the armpits seemed to ride up and dig in a little. I loved the jacket so was disappointed I had to send it back due to sizing. At the time, I could even get away with some mediums, so the problem I'm confident was the jacket, rather than pies. It's been several months but this jacket has retained in my mind all that time. I was gutted that it didn't fit properly but at the time was worried a size up would be too large. In all other respects, this jacket is fantastic.I won't buy down due to animal welfare, so always use synthetic insulation (which does limit me, and makes my rucksack much heavier).I managed to get a good deal so thought i'd bite the bullet and order an XL.I am surprised that I can still feel the armpits, but rather than riding up, I think it's where the stitching meets and is thicker. I'm willing to put up with it, even though It is a little irritating. This was probably partly the problem with the original one I had.It is warm, light the pack size is small and going a size up in actual fact, makes very little difference. I think that I could have probably gotten away with an XXL, depressing as that would be.I love the jacket, but be aware its a tighter sporty fit. I now look forward to keeping warm while camping at night, without breaking my back (or the bank) to do so.Three years and a half in and its still going strong. Successfully repaired it after catching it on a wire on the sleeve which resulted in a small L shape rip, some 3 cm in all. Got some repair tape which was expensive but worked well with the jacket. Its not a fashion item and it allows the jacket to continue to do its job very well.Original:Great jacket. I already had the vest version and this one did not disappoint. Its not too thick but its warm enough as it was expected and can pack into bag OK.Two minor gripes:. Odd that the zip runner is on the opposite side (right rather than on left).. No place to store the pack bag. It would've been great if they had an inner hidden type pocket which could then be also used to stow the pack bag. As it is its roaming on one of the normal hand pockets... hope I don't lose it as its sometimes convenient. All in all, wouldn't want to down a full star as I do love the jacket. These compressslite coats are really excellent - 3 members of my family now have one and we love them. They are so light and comfortable and yet provide really good insulation and warmth. So many other brands do similar types of coat at much higher prices - this is a fantastic and much more affordable option. Obviously they don’t perform as well as a £200 down jacket - but we always find these perform really well - and have the advantage over down that it doesn’t matter if they get really wet - they wash and dry brilliantly. Thoroughly recommend them to anyone.Craghopper Quality is always very good and this doesn't disappoint it's very well made with good fittings. I like the stuff sack which will be useful when I use it hiking and folds down to a size roughly the size of a bag of sugar but obviously a lot lighter! I am using it as a extra layer when hiking and feels snug. I like the longer length on the back, too many of these coats don't suit us tall chaps. Size, I usually go for Large but went for Xl, feels OK with a fleece on underneath and I still have lots of movement. Supplier was super efficient with delivery taking about three days by Royal Mail and it was well packaged. I am very pleased. There was a bit of a delay in the delivery as I'd had it sent to the office and they didn't manage to deliver it on Friday - it eventually arrived at 5.55pm on the following Monday.A great winter warmer, love the way it packs away into its little sack. It's certainly warm enough and the hood is quite cosy even though there are no drawstrings to make it tighter. It could do with a couple of interior pockets. It's also smaller than expected - I ordered the XL and although it's fine on its own, it isn't large enough to allow wearing of a fleece or other jacket underneath. I would advise going for a larger size than you anticipate.
